FROM INSTRUCTIONS TO WORKING PROGRAMS
Author: Luke McLaughlin

Read the PDF lessons L01-L09 after J18. The three projects connect individual
language features to useful complete programs. Begin with the first stage,
run it, predict the next change, and compare your result with the lesson.

L01-L03 python_checker
Grow a local website checker from one title check into a multi-page report.
Follow its README for the exact stage filenames and commands.

L04-L06 campaign_explorer
Grow a browser display into an interactive campaign explorer.
Early examples can be opened directly in your browser.

L07-L09 connected_report
Follow one request from browser JavaScript through Python into SQLite.
Start the local Python server as instructed in that project's README.
Open the stated local URL rather than double-clicking its HTML page.

construction_studio/index.html
Open this file directly in a browser for focused offline experiments.
Reorder instructions, inspect a loop, follow function calls and connect
events to a visible result. These are teaching models, not arbitrary-code
interpreters. The projects contain actual runnable program files.

solutions
Separate exercise explanations, also collected in PDF Appendix E.
Attempt a task before opening its solution.

Use fictional local data. No paid service, subscription or API key is needed.
Keep an untouched copy; edit a working copy. A lesson is complete when you can
explain the result and successfully make a new change, not just run the file.
